REPRESENTATIVE INFORMATION

GPSC provides for representation of students from every degree and certificate program offered by SIUC’s Graduate School, the School of Law, and the School of Medicine. Members who maintain proper representation throughout the school year are considered voting members for the election every April.

How to become a GPSC member:

  • Be an enrolled graduate or professional (law and medicine) student
  • Be elected or appointed by your Registered Student Organization, OR if no RSO exists in your program, submit a petition of at least 10 signatures from students in the program (see Constitution for further details)
  • Or, fill one of the five at-large representative seats (see Constitution and Bylaws for further details)

All new and returning GPSC members, and those interested in becoming one of the five at-large representatives, must fill out this membership form and submit it to gpsc@siu.edu or submit a paper copy to the GPSC Vice President of Administrative Affairs.
