Thank you for visiting our page. I’m Blaine Tisdale, the recently elected president of your Graduate and Professional Student Council. This fall I’ll be a second year law student at the university. The law school, like every college at SIU, has its collection of distinctions; however, at the end of the day, in a way, we are all one.
The Graduate and Professional Student Council has a host of responsibilities. We serve to provide several set, static services to our constituents from travel reimbursement to managing the purse for graduate events and professional development. But we also have a duty to respresent the graduate and professional student body to the administration and community. My goal this year is to reach out to the campus, and to raise awareness that graduate and professional students have a voice, to raise awareness to graduate and professional students that they have a team of passionate voices fighting for their needs and wants.
This team wants to engage the campus, and from there better the campus. I look forward to speaking to you or someone in your department.
