LOCAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE FOR DACA RECIPIENTS

Eligibility:
-Individual must currently have DACA which expires by 3/5/18
-Must renew by 10/5/17
-Must submit the $495 application fee with their renewal if requesting a work permit

Local attorneys are willing to offer free filing assistance to anyone who needs to renew. If an individual does not have the application fee, we would like to help connect them with financial assistance as well.

Anyone who would like assistance should contact the SIIRP as soon as possible (preferably by 9/20). One of our immigration attorneys will schedule a time to meet with them.

Hurricane Irma Student Support

Featured

As a Saluki Community, our thoughts are with our students who have families and friends who may be or already are impacted by Hurricane Irma. The Dean of Students and the Office of Student Affairs is offering its resources to those in need.  For assistance and further information, please contact the Dean of Students at (618) 453-4846 or by email at deanofstudents@siu.edu.  The Office of Student Affairs is located on the 4th floor of the Student Services Building, Room 486.

The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) team is also available on campus to serve those needing personal support and assistance. For more information, please call (618) 453-3311 or email shcinfo@siu.edu.

If you find yourself needing to leave campus suddenly due to the ever-changing situation, the Registrar’s Office can assist you in notifying faculty of your absence.  Absence notifications can be made to faculty on your behalf by emailing Registrar@siu.edu or calling (618) 453-5663.

As part of our Saluki family, we want you to know that we are here to support you.
